The song, from Swift's new album The Tortured Poets Department, drew 38.2 million official streams and 33.3 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 6,000 copies in the U.S. in the tracking week that ends on May 2.

Two other songs from the instantly popular album join "Fortnight" in the Hot 100 top 10; "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" at No. 9 and "Down Bad" at No. 10.

The latest chart, dated May 11, also features three artists' first top 5 entries.

Tommy Richman's "Million Dollar Baby" is ranked at No. 2, Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" at No. 3, and Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" at No. 4.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.

"Hey, I'm you life/ I'm the one who takes you there/ Hey, I'm your life, I'm the one who cares," Clarkson sang during her performance. This is the first time Clarkson has covered the band on her show.

"Sad but True" is a song from Metallica's 1991 self-titled album. It was released in February 1993 as the fifth and final single of the album.

Clarkson covered Metallica three months after actress Isla Fisher appeared on Clarkson's talk show and convinced Kelly to cover the iconic metal band for a future segment.

"You should do 'Sad But True.' Your voice would be amazing," Fisher said at the time.

The country music legend announced what would be his 31st album in the midst of his concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Saturday night.

"It's so good to be back.man, it's been six months, and that's too long," Strait greeted the fans at the start of the two hour-show.

"We got some new stuff, too, I'm gonna throw in throughout the night, because I broke down and did another record, and I'm gonna play a few of those for you tonight," he told the sold-out crowd.

The septuagenarian County Music Hall of Famer played some songs from the upcoming studio album, including "Three Drinks Behind," "Check Yes or No" and "How 'Bout Them Cowgirls."

Chris Stapleton joined Strait to play "Honky Tonk Hall of Fame" and "You Don't Know What You're Missing."

Cowboys And Dreamers' release date has not yet been revealed.
