Hermie “Where’s My Sweet Tea” Sadler


OVERVIEW: Hermie Sadler is a veteran NASCAR driver and pit reporter for the NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES on FS1. He also helps set the stage for each Truck Series race on NCWTS SETUP, FS1’s popular 30-minute prerace show. In addition, Sadler covers pit road for NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK practice and qualifying sessions, reports for a variety of FS1 specials and events and has been with FOX Sports since 2006.

Prior to moving over to SPEED’s Truck Series broadcast team in 2011, Sadler served as a reporter for NASCAR RACEDAY and NASCAR VICTORY LANE, the network’s pre- and postrace shows in the MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES, for several years.

BEHIND THE WHEEL: Inside the race car, Sadler has logged more than 330 starts in the MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP, NASCAR XFINITY SERIES and NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES. Born into a family of racers, he grew up at the race track with his father and uncle, and won the World Karting Association championship in 1988. Sadler earned 1993 NASCAR XFINITY SERIES Rookie-of-the-Year honors on the strength of a win, and followed up that success with one victory and a fifth-place finish in the point standings in 1994.

He formed his own NASCAR XFINITY SERIES team in 1995. In 2006, Sadler joined SPEED as an analyst for select XFINITY SERIES telecasts and has been with the FOX Sports family ever since.

PERSONAL: His personal crusade is a campaign to educate others about autism following his daughter’s 2001 diagnosis. Sadler and his brother and fellow driver, Elliott, founded the Hermie and Elliott Sadler Foundation to raise funds for various charitable organizations for the advancement of autism research.

Away from the track, Sadler owns and operates Fosho, an Italian restaurant in his hometown of Emporia, Va. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1991 with a degree in Industrial Relations. Sadler resides in Emporia with his wife and three daughters.
